Curramore Site Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC)

MCU Communities Ltd is partnering with Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) to enhance the AWC’s Curramore site.

The project is to assist with weeding and clearing the area where young Koala food trees are growing.

In 2024, as part of the Ecohealth program at Curramore, the AWC team undertook 910 live trap nights and 232 camera trap nights to track the health of the sanctuary’s wildlife and habitats. Despite very wet conditions which made reptile detection especially difficult (and made our poor ecologists rather soggy and muddy)  – the surveys have delivered some important and encouraging results. You can read the full report  for all the details on AWC Curramore’s 2024 results and what’s next for the sanctuary.  https://www.australianwildlife.org/news-and-resources/ecohealth-reports-and-scorecards
