Welcome to the virtual home of the new MCU Communities Ltd and the MCU Charitable Trust.

MCU Communities Ltd is the new organisation that is to replace both the old Maleny Credit Union (MCULtd) and eventually the MCU Charitable Trust. MCU Communities Ltd is a registered charity with the ACNC and will continue to provide support for local community groups whose activities enhance the local environment and community.

We are in an interim state at the moment so both our organisations continue to function.

MCU Communities Ltd, with our partner community organisations, is a supporter of the Maleny Education Support Fund. (The Maleny Education Support Fund is available to local School Principals to apply for grant support to address specific disadvantage and need perceived to be affecting the educational wellbeing of an individual student)

The new MCU Communities Ltd and the MCU Charitable Trust provides funds by:

Making donations to community groups and not for profit groups.

After a successful distribution of $150,000.00 in the 2021-22 financial year to hard working community groups the trust has been working on its transition to its new entity. This brings our all time total of funds distributed to $1.2 million

Organisational transition is a time consuming activity, however we continue to work through all the documents and actions to ensure we can continue to provide much needed funding to groups.
